I believe the best photographs happen when people forget the camera is there. My job isn’t to direct a perfect moment, but to create the space where real ones can happen, and to be ready when they do.

I start with connection. Before I photograph anyone, I get to know them, because comfort shows in a face and in the way two people stand together.
